Review: St Ives Apricot Scrub!

Hey guys! So i know i haven't blogged in a really REALLY REALLY long time and I'm sooooo sorry. I've just been having exams and preparing for exams for the past few months and so I didn't have much time to blog :( buuuuut now that my exams are over, I'M BACK! Hahah okay enough blabbering.

So today, I wanted to do a review for you guys. So recently, thanks to exam stress, my skin hasn't exactly been at it's best - not that I'm breaking out really badly or anything, it just wasn't 100% clear like it normally is. And being me, I freak out when I get one pimple so I was like OMG I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING. So I was watching Rachel or CheckInTheMirror on Youtube (she's amazing you guys should totally check her out and subscribe to her x) and she happened to be doing a skin care video. Now, Rachel has amazing clear skin so she recommended the St. Ives Apricot Scrub in her video. Honestly, I've been wanting to try out St. Ives scrubs for a really long time; I just somehow never got around to getting it. But, when I saw it in the store on the way home with my friend Sam, I was like "Okay I'm gonna get this and see how I like it."

I literally got home and immediately went to try it and can i just say, it's absolutely AMAZING. I know that some people say it's a little too harsh for them, but I really love exfoliating my skin and personally I think it's not too rough. Basically, it's supposed to help clear blemishes and blackheads. I don't really have blemishes and I've honestly never had a blackhead so I can't tell you guys if it does do that, BUT it really cleans all the dirt and oil without drying out your skin. In fact, my skin feels sooo sooo soft after I use this and I literally look forward to the days I get to use it, which is every other day (You're supposed to use it 4-5 times a week). I feel like it has helped my skin feel really nice and refreshed and I definitely recommend it, it's about $8 at drugstores so that's not too bad :) If you have acne, this also helps to treat the acne because it has Salicylic Acid in it so while you scrub, the Salicylic Acid will help to treat your acne so you'll have much clearer skin! xx

By the way, my skin care routine has changed slightly so I might do an updated one, however I am still trying out many new cleansers and skin care products so when I do finalize it I'll let you guys know. Sports Day 2012!!

Hey lovelies! So I've been cray busy lately with school work and things like that cos exams are coming - well you get the point. So I didn't want to leave my blog to rot either lol so I'll just be blogging from my iPhone :)

So yesterday was actually Sports Day! I have to say I did have lots of fun obviously haha and I wore my hot pink running shoes cos I'm in Rose so I thought ehh why not? ;P Rose ended up winning Champion in the D division (I think) and 3rd for cheerleading so yay! OH MY BIEBER. So if you don't already know, yesterday at 8pm, the music video/short film for the ALAYLM video premiered yesterday!!! If you follow me on twitter, you would've have seen how excited I was lol.

Seriously though, the video was do flawless I was shaking and hyperventilating watching it. I'm not even joking, I couldn't breathe. I was like "what is air" LOL the video was so flawless and Justin was just so hot and aaaaahhhhh <3

Also, the girl in the ALAYLM video is officially the luckiest girl on the planet. Firstly, if you watched the video, DID YOU SEE WHAT SHE GOT TO DO?!?! And she freaking got paid to do it!!! Secondly, because Beliebers are pretty much better than the FBI, we found out that Chanel (that's her name lol) actually also got to act in 21 Jump Street. WITH CHANNING freaking TATUM. She basically got to work with two of the hottest guys on the planet UGH I can't even describe how jealous I am.

Also, she looks like Jessica Alba = she's super pretty haha. I remember when Justin had his conference in Singapore when he was asked "who actress would you want to work with in a movie?" he said "Jessica Alba". So he probably also chose her cos she looks like Jessica hahha.

Cellairis by Justin Bieber?!?!?!

Hey guys! OMG so I actually found this out last week, but I totally forgot to share it with you guys. Justin is partnering with Cellairis and he's coming out with his own official iPhone cover line. And the covers are perf tbh aaaahhh I want them so bad :(

Seriously Justin has so many things coming out this year I'm gonna go broke haha. But anyway just thought I'd share that with any beliebers out there...then again if you were a Belieber you would already know about it... Haha whatever just enjoy how perf the cases are, I'll insert a photo below :)

Dreamcatchers, procrastination and singing vlogs?

Hey guys! So I thought I'd do a quick post cos I'm bored and...yeah this is what I do when I'm bored ._. So I can't believe I forgot to show you guys this but ENYA GOT ME A DREAMCATCHER!

Yay haha for some reason I feel like I'd never buy myself a dreamcatcher but I've always wanted one so when Enya told me she got me a hot pink one I was like 8D I'm actually blogging on my iPhone so I'll just insert the photo at the bottom of this post I guess.

So the next thing I wanted to talk about is procrastination. Recently,
I've been procrastinating. A lot. And I hate it, but I can't help myself, which frustrates me a lot. I'm always on my phone when I have tons of other things to do ._. Sometimes I feel like throwing my phone away but obviously I can't cos I'd die. I should bribe myself to not procrastinate haha. Speaking of which, in actually procrastinating right now as I'm blogging -.-

The last thing- I've been thinking about uploading singing vlogs cos I love singing and can't pass a day without singing (I've tried), so what do you guys think? I mayyyy do it, and if I end up doing it, I want you guys to tweet me @curethebiebfver or comment below if you have any song requests :>

June Favourites! YAY:D

Hey guys! So it is now July which means it's time for my June favourites! :D So I didn't actually go overseas during the holidays, unless you count the one day trip to Malaysia with my friends for a school trip. However, if you have been reading my blog, you would know that I stayed over at my aunt's place for two weeks which was really fun cos I got to hang out with my cousins a lot :) We had movie marathons, midnight ice cream making, the baby food challenge, we went to the beach and loads of other fun stuff which was super fun! 

Okay before I start blabbing, let's start with my June Favourites! 

This month, I don't have as much to share with you guys cos I didn't shop that much really but the first favourite/favourites of the month are my Herbal Essence Long Term Relationship shampoo and conditioner. If you know me or you read my blog, you would know that I recently got a hair cut. While I wasn't exactly super ecstatic about having MUCH shorter hair, I decided to change my whole haircare routine, hoping that my hair would grow back faster if I took better care of it. 

So I went to the drugstore and picked up these two products cos I've heard lots of good things about Herbal Essence. Don't ask me why, but I've always stuck to Sunsilk and never really branched out to try other stuff. So I've now been using the conditioner and shampoo for a month and I'M IN LOVE with it. It just smells so good and makes my hair feel so soft :> PLUS SAMANTHA SAID MY HAIR HAS BEEN GROWING REALLY FAST SO YAY! 

Okay so next product. So a really long time ago, I did a review on the BEDHEAD Ego Boost leave-in conditioner. If you haven't read it yet here's a link to that HERE . Now, don't get me wrong, I love that product, but compared to my next favourite, which is the Schwarzkopf GLISS Hair Repair Color Shine and Protect Express Repair Conditioner for coloured or highlighted hair. PHEW THAT WAS A MOUTHFUL. I don't have highlighted or coloured hair, my hair is au naturale BUT I found that I liked this one better than the other one which is for normal hair. Seriously guys? This is like the best thing ever :{D If my hair is looking crazy/frizzy/justnotnice , I literally just spray this in my hair, brush through it and within a minute my hair looks so shiny and nice it's not even funny. It's like a lifesaver for bad hair days.I'll be doing a hair care routine soon so I'm not gonna elaborate that much on this but you guys can get it at drugstores for $11.90 :) DEF more worth it than the BEDHEAD one which cost like $30. 

Okay so I finished my The Body Shop soaps and as much as I'd love to buy more, I have so many other soaps that I just decided to use up the ones I already have. I happened to reach for my Yves Rocher body gel which was from Paris and OH MY GOD GUYS IT'S AMAZING. I use it with my loofa and it lathers up so well and it feels so soft it's crazy. I'm like halfway through it but I'm not rationing it cos once I finish this one I can use my Sephora one TEEHEE :> But yeah I'm not sure if this is available in Singapore, but I definitely recommend it ;D

So it's pretty obvious I'm a Belieber, And unless you live under a rock you should know that Justin's new album Believe is out :'D Seriously guys, the album is just so amazing it's crazy. So obviously I had to get the album which I did, after hyperventilating in front of the HMV store haha. All the songs are amazing, he's just so flawless <3 So if you haven't bought the album GO BUY IT cos the songs are awesome and worth the money :) 

My next favourite would be the DIVERGENT TRILOGY. So basically Elle Fowler aka AllThatGlitters21 does glitteratures on her second channel which are book reviews. I don't know what it is, but she makes me want to buy all the books she reviews cos they're all SO GOOD. So I finished reading Divergent during the holidays and it is just seriously phenomenal. I started reading the book at 3pm and finished it at 2am that very same day. Take away about 4 hours (cos i eat and shower and I had tuition._.) and you get 7 hours. God knows how I finished that book so quickly, cos it's super thick, but it's just too good to put down! I already bought the sequel and I can't wait to read it! 


                                        


My last favourite of the month has been the Passion Tea Lemonade from Starbucks! Some people don't like cos it's quite sour but hey, it is lemonade after all ;) It just tastes so good :D actually I've just been drinking a lot of Starbucks lately haha my wallet's filled with Starbucks receipts so YAY FOR STARBUCKS :D

New Haircut?

Hey guys! So here's a lesson I learned a few days ago:

DON'T try out new salons unless they're well-known

Okay so basically a few days back I wanted to trim my hair and thin it-again (my hair is naturally super thick so I have to constantly thin it). I normally go to this salon which I've been going to since I was a kid, but I thought I'd try some place new.

I absolutely regret my decision ._.

Firstly, I'm pretty sure the guy had NO IDEA what I was saying, he kept speaking in Mandarin and I'm like oh my God. He starts to cut my hair and i'm like, crap why does it look so weird????

But I didn't stop him and continued reading my magazine. So a few minutes later he's like "ok I'm done". I look up and I'm like "HOLY GUACAMOLE WHAT HAS HE DONE!"

My hair was super uneven and choppy, he had trimmed waaaay more than the 1-inch I requested, my bangs were a mess and I was just.... Appalled. I didn't even know what to say!

Honestly, I started tearing at the salon and after like 10 minutes of trying to explain why i was unhappy with the haircut, I gave up, paid for it and went home.

I lived with the retarded hair for one day and I couldn't take it. I got my wallet and went to the salon I've been going to since I was a kid and decided I'd try and fix my hair.

After i told my usual hairdresser what had happened, he got to work fixing my hair and I was totally relieved cos I actually trusted him with the scissors lol. When he was done, I was like OHMYGOSH IT LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER, albeit a little short, I still liked it.

I actually quite like it now, though I just say I feel less girly, hence I've been using little bow-looking denim clips like in the photo, just to make me feel girly hahah. I honestly still miss my long hair, but I shall embrace the change :{P

So below is a photo of my current haircut, I just blow-dried it to give it the shape I wanted and yeah :)
