Pairings: Printed Pants

Hey guys! So today, I'm going to do another pairings post, this time on printed pants, or any printed bottoms, really. Have you ever had those cringe-worthy moments where you see someone wearing an outfit so 'noisy' it's painful to look at? By noisy, I mean there's so much going on in the outfit you don't even know where to start. While fashion doesn't exactly have rules, and you're allowed to express yourself in any way you want through fashion, you don't exactly want to give the person you're talking to a headache just by looking at you haha. Ok I'm gonna stop blabbing now, let's get into it :)

Ok so as you can see, I've put together two different outfits to pair with the polka-dotted jeans. If you don't already know, I have an obsession with sweaters, jeggings and anything comfortable. While dressing up and wearing heels and all sorts of accessories can be extremely fun, I honestly love nothing more than a comfy outfit. Since it's been raining quite a bit here, I thought I'd pair the jeans with sweaters.

Now the first thing you should know when pairing patterned/printed bottoms with a top, you wanna make sure they're not 'fighting' for attention. By this, I mean, pick either one to be the 'statement' of your outfit. There isn't anything wrong with putting two different prints together in one outfit - if you do it right. You just have to make sure they're not the same size. If you look at the outfit on the right, the sweater has relatively large stripes as compared to the bottoms which have small polka dots on them. What this does it it makes it easier on the eyes of the person looking at your outfit as the difference in your top and bottoms are more distinct. However, if you were to pair a top with big stripes with a bottom that has large print too, your outfit can look too busy and overpowering.

However, you don't always have to pair a printed top with a printed bottom. You can choose to make your polka-dotted jeans, in this case, the statement piece. I did this in the outfit on the left by pairing the printed bottoms with a plain sweater. What this does is it draws the attention to your bottoms so they stand out more. I feel that this is 'safer' if you're afraid to mix prints and patters as there's nothing that's 'fighting' with the bottoms for attention.

So I hope this helped you guys in some ways :) Thanks for reading, I love you all xx

Pairings: Little Black Dress

Hey lovelies! So, as we all know, every girl needs an LBD: Little Black Dress. Today, I'm gonna show you how I take a simple little black dress from casual to classy.

So, say you're going for a movie, or a day out with your friends, and you want a casual and cute outfit. Here, you can see that I paired this dress with a varsity jacket to give it more of a casual, relaxed feel. For a pop of colour and fun, I added red converse high tops to pair with this outfit; who said you couldn't pair dresses with sneakers? Then, to finish off the outfit, I added a red and black SnapBack to bring out the red shoes. Now no one said you had to match your lip color to your outfit, but I wanted to further bring out the red in the outfit as the statement colour by choosing a red lipstick. Of course, I don't wear lipstick out so I'd personally go with a tinted lip balm, like the REVLON lip butters for example, which I'm obsessed with haha.

Ok, so, you've had a fun day out with your friends, and now you're going to a formal dinner at a nice restaurant with your family , or you just have a formal occasion to attend. In this case, we're going for a more sophisticated and chic look, so I switched the jacket for this blazer, which has a nude pink peeking out of the sleeves. I wanted to bring that out in the shoes by pairing it with nude heels with a pink undertone. As for accessories, I personally didn't want too go overboard, so I went for a simple yet elegant silver bib necklace which finishes off the outfit.

So, the little black dress is a definite essential in every girl's closet and there are so many ways to wear it :) That's all for today, hope you guys enjoyed this post, love you all xx

THE SHOPPING TAG

Hey guys! So recently I've been having a bit of a mental block in terms of blogging... Every time I try to get a post up, I just end up staring at my screen not knowing what to blog about, really so I thought I'd do a tag in the meantime. So sometimes I'd think to myself "If I had to pick one place to shop for the rest of my life where would it be?" Being a shopaholic, it was really hard for me and took me quite some time to think and decide on just one place, so I thought it'd be fun to share with you guys where I'd shop for certain things if I had to pick one place for the rest of my life hahah.

1. If you had to choose only one place to buy all your clothes for the rest of your life, where would it be?

A: I would have to say Forever 21. I do really like new look and TOPSHOP and H&M too, but I feel like Forever 21 has a lot of really cute clothes - and accessories - and it's not too expensive , so I ended up picking Forever 21!

2. If you had to choose one place to buy all your shoes for the rest of your life, where would it be?

A: Omg this is a really hard question because I really love shoes and different brands have different styles that all are so gorgeous....but I think I'm gonna have to say Steve Madden as they do have absolutely gorgeous shoes for both casual and more special occasions, plus the quality is amazing, so that's why I chose Steve Madden.

3. If you had to pick one place to buy all your bags for the rest of your life, where would it be?

A: Well honestly, right now I'm still in school so the bag I use the most is my Adidas backpack, and when I go out, I usually only bring my iPhone, wallet and headphones, so I rarely ever carry a bag out as it can get troublesome sometimes, but I'm assuming since the question says for the rest of your life, that I'd be carrying a purse when I'm older, so I'm going to say Tory Burch because I really like their handbags, and knowing me, I'd probably just go for a nude/neutral bag and Tory Burch has really nice ones :P

4. What is your favourite kind of accessory?

A: Ok, so I love accessories, don't get me wrong, but a lot of the time, I feel so lazy to wear accessories like bracelets and rings cos I feel like they get in my way when I'm trying to move around a lot, being my active, energetic self hahah, so I would say I don't wear accessories very often, but I love wearing a nice watch cos it doesn't "move around" my wrist as much. That's probably also why I'm in love with the Michael Kors watches as they're just absolutely gorgeous, especially the rose gold ones *-*

5. What's on your shopping wish list right now?

A: Oooh I have quite a few things on my list...

1. Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch
2. Tory Burch flats
3. Mustache sweater from Forever 21
4. REVLON lip butter in Berry Smoothie
5. Burgundy skinnies
6. Fossil wallet

6. Are you an impulsive buyer?

A: I would say it depends... normally, if I see something I really like, I try not to buy it immediately cos sometimes by the time I get home, I don't even want it anymore. BUT. My absolute weakness is sales. If  see something I like, and it's on sale, or it's just really cheap, I will buy it immediately. Sometimes I regret it after I get it, but most of the time I'm happy I got it. Besides, I wouldn't call it being impulsive, I'm just spontaneous ;) hahaha <inside joke Izni if you're reading this LOL>

7. Have you ever bought something impulsively and regretted it soooo badly?

A: OMG yes, I have. Once, I was on a trip to KL with my friends, and we were at this place where they were selling iPhone covers and it was extremely cheap, so being me, I impulsively bought two iPhone cases that I thought were cute at the time, but after I bought them, I started to see all the defects the covers had and I absolutely hated them like I was just so upset that I'd impulsively bought it and hadn't thought it through. So yeah hahah.

8. Are you good at saving money?

A: Heh, sadly, nope hahahha. Being a shopaholic, when I have money....I go shopping xD I know, it's bad, but I just can't help myself guys! I love shopping so much I find grocery shopping exciting O.o Only me? hahah so yeah, I'm not good at saving :P

Alright guys, that's the end of the tag, I tag all of you to do it, please comment below if you've done it so I can see your tag!  But specifically, I tag:

1. Sam
2. Ashley
3. Sophia

That's all for today, hope all of you have a great day ahead of you, also, Happy Birthday to my friend Vanessa! Thanks for reading, love you guys xx

Review: St Ives Apricot Scrub!

Hey guys! So i know i haven't blogged in a really REALLY REALLY long time and I'm sooooo sorry. I've just been having exams and preparing for exams for the past few months and so I didn't have much time to blog :( buuuuut now that my exams are over, I'M BACK! Hahah okay enough blabbering.

So today, I wanted to do a review for you guys. So recently, thanks to exam stress, my skin hasn't exactly been at it's best - not that I'm breaking out really badly or anything, it just wasn't 100% clear like it normally is. And being me, I freak out when I get one pimple so I was like OMG I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING. So I was watching Rachel or CheckInTheMirror on Youtube (she's amazing you guys should totally check her out and subscribe to her x) and she happened to be doing a skin care video. Now, Rachel has amazing clear skin so she recommended the St. Ives Apricot Scrub in her video. Honestly, I've been wanting to try out St. Ives scrubs for a really long time; I just somehow never got around to getting it. But, when I saw it in the store on the way home with my friend Sam, I was like "Okay I'm gonna get this and see how I like it."

I literally got home and immediately went to try it and can i just say, it's absolutely AMAZING. I know that some people say it's a little too harsh for them, but I really love exfoliating my skin and personally I think it's not too rough. Basically, it's supposed to help clear blemishes and blackheads. I don't really have blemishes and I've honestly never had a blackhead so I can't tell you guys if it does do that, BUT it really cleans all the dirt and oil without drying out your skin. In fact, my skin feels sooo sooo soft after I use this and I literally look forward to the days I get to use it, which is every other day (You're supposed to use it 4-5 times a week). I feel like it has helped my skin feel really nice and refreshed and I definitely recommend it, it's about $8 at drugstores so that's not too bad :) If you have acne, this also helps to treat the acne because it has Salicylic Acid in it so while you scrub, the Salicylic Acid will help to treat your acne so you'll have much clearer skin! xx

By the way, my skin care routine has changed slightly so I might do an updated one, however I am still trying out many new cleansers and skin care products so when I do finalize it I'll let you guys know. That's all for now, keep checking back for more posts, and maybe a tag ;) Thanks for reading guys I'll see you soon xx

Sports Day 2012!!

Hey lovelies! So I've been cray busy lately with school work and things like that cos exams are coming - well you get the point. So I didn't want to leave my blog to rot either lol so I'll just be blogging from my iPhone :)

So yesterday was actually Sports Day! I have to say I did have lots of fun obviously haha and I wore my hot pink running shoes cos I'm in Rose so I thought ehh why not? ;P Rose ended up winning Champion in the D division (I think) and 3rd for cheerleading so yay! Haha anyway I just thought if share some photos with you guys :) enjoy and thanks for reading my blog as always, I love you all, see you soon!! -does dramatic wave- haha xx

As Long As You Love Me ~

Side note: this was supposed to go up a few days ago but I forgot to lol but whatever ~

OH MY BIEBER. So if you don't already know, yesterday at 8pm, the music video/short film for the ALAYLM video premiered yesterday!!! If you follow me on twitter, you would've have seen how excited I was lol.

Seriously though, the video was do flawless I was shaking and hyperventilating watching it. I'm not even joking, I couldn't breathe. I was like "what is air" LOL the video was so flawless and Justin was just so hot and aaaaahhhhh <3

Also, the girl in the ALAYLM video is officially the luckiest girl on the planet. Firstly, if you watched the video, DID YOU SEE WHAT SHE GOT TO DO?!?! And she freaking got paid to do it!!! Secondly, because Beliebers are pretty much better than the FBI, we found out that Chanel (that's her name lol) actually also got to act in 21 Jump Street. WITH CHANNING freaking TATUM. She basically got to work with two of the hottest guys on the planet UGH I can't even describe how jealous I am.

Also, she looks like Jessica Alba = she's super pretty haha. I remember when Justin had his conference in Singapore when he was asked "who actress would you want to work with in a movie?" he said "Jessica Alba". So he probably also chose her cos she looks like Jessica hahha.

Anyhoo just wanted to tell you guys to go watch it if you haven't already, here's like link:

Hey guys! OMG so I actually found this out last week, but I totally forgot to share it with you guys. Justin is partnering with Cellairis and he's coming out with his own official iPhone cover line. And the covers are perf tbh aaaahhh I want them so bad :(

Seriously Justin has so many things coming out this year I'm gonna go broke haha. But anyway just thought I'd share that with any beliebers out there...then again if you were a Belieber you would already know about it... Haha whatever just enjoy how perf the cases are, I'll insert a photo below :)

P.s. sorry if the layout is a little weird I'm blogging from my iPhone so I'm not sure how it'll turn out haha :P
